Dimensional Ornament. This ornament is full of images that are
special to the state of Rhode Island such as the State House
building, the state flower (violet), the Rhode Island Red
Rooster and the quahogs, to name a few. The sailboat's sails
are bowed from capturing the wind and the flag atop the sails is
blowing while the boat is angled out riding over the white
capped waves jutting beneath it. The blue stone encircled in
white and centered on the gold shell is in keeping with the
state flag colors of white, blue and gold.

When looking at the size of Rhode Island compared to the rest
of the states, Rhode Island is the smallest of all comprised of
1,545 square miles of land and water.
Even though it is small, it is rich with history having
joined
the Union on May 29, 1790, making it the thirteenth of the
original thirteen colonies. Not only is Providence the largest
city in the state but it is also the capital. It is also the
location of the largest manufacturer of silverware in the
world. Rhode Island, a state known for tourism, textiles,
nursery stock, dairy products and eggs, rubber products,
jewelry, ship and boat building, and machinery has so much to
offer to anyone lucky enough to visit or live there.
