Pennsylvania has been know as The Keystone State for its
central location among the original 13 colonies as well as today
being home to many Fortune 500 companies. The nickname The
Quaker State comes from colonial times from Quaker William Penn
who established a government based on freedom of religion. The
name Pennsylvania means Penn's Woods.
The U.S. Constitution was written in Philadelphia and that city is the
home of the Liberty Bell. The Battle of Gettysburg was a key turning point
in the Civil War. Harrisburg, the state capital, has one of the most
beautiful state capital buildings in the nation. From sports to the arts,
Pennsylvania has much to offer those lucky enough to visit or call the state
home.
This ornament is a wonderful keepsake for PA residents or
tourists who have visited the state of Pennsylvania.
