3 Dimensional Ornament.
This beautiful three-dimensional ornament
tells the story of Jesus death on the cross. The silver frame
along the outside holds a gold layer in place on the top that
bows out over Jesus on the cross and at the top center is a gold
cup. On the bottom is an added layer of gold with the center in
white that highlights the words Mother Behold thy Son in blue.
On the left under the top canopy is a white oval that says
Father forgive them for they know not what they do. Beneath
that oval and to the left of Jesus on the cross is Mary his
mother, Mary Magdalene, the disciple John and a Roman soldier.
To the right of center is the crucified Jesus hanging on the
cross. The cross is silver and Jesus is designed in life-like
form with tan skin, brown hair and the piercings at his wrists
and his pierced side.
THE CRUCIFIXION
What shall I do, then, with the one you call
the king of the
Jews? Pilate asked them. Crucify him! they shouted.
They brought Jesus to the place called
Golgotha (which means
the place of the skull). And they crucified him. The written
notice of the charge against him read:
THE KING OF THE JEWS.
At noon, darkness came over the whole land
until three in the
afternoon. And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a
loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani? (which means My
God, my God, why have you forsaken me?). With a loud cry,
Jesus breathed his last. The curtain of the temple was torn in
two from top to bottom. And when the centurion, who stood
there in front of Jesus, saw how he died, he said,
Surely this man was the Son of God!
