Before the map of Finland soars Vainamoinen,
god of the ancient Finns, who found fire and invented the
Kantele harp, bidding us, "Hello!"
Below him is the Helsinki Cathedral, which is recreated in miniature in
ice each winter, and the Bird of Tampere artifact from 1000AD. A Sami gent
waits with his faithful reindeer below the Finnish flag, while Marimekko
(the company that influenced much of our fashion color and textiles from the
1960's to today) posies float in the air.
Celebrate your heritage with this beautiful Finnish Ornament.
