Located on Nantucket Harbor, Massachusetts, the Brant Point
Lighthouse has been rebuilt seven times since the light was
first established in 1746, making it the nation's second oldest
lighthouse. Earlier ones were destroyed either by fire, strong
storms or decay.
The last and current tower to be built is a white cylindrical tower that
was first used on January 31, 1901. It was equipped with a fourth-order,
fixed-red electric light which was 26 feet above the water with visibility
10 miles out to sea and a fog bell. The Brant Point Lighthouse is listed on
the National Register of Historic Places and is the lowest lighthouse in New
England.
The Brant Point Lighthouse Ornament is an ideal gift for any
lighthouse collector. Tom Pollard Designs specializes in
designing the finest gold-plated brass light house ornaments.
