The Erie Pier Head Light in Erie Harbor, Lake Erie, was built in 1858 after an earlier wooden tower was destroyed in 1857 by being swept away by a sailing vessel.  This lighthouse was moved once in 1882 and again in 1940.  This Light used a fourth-order Fresnel lens and the lighthouse was automated in 1940.

The Erie Pier Head Light is 34 feet tall, has a square tapered shape made of iron and is white with a wide black band around its center.  It has a black lantern room and walkway at the top.  The lighthouse is still active, using a modern solar powered optic installed in 1995, and sends out a red flash every 2.5 seconds to guide vessels into and out of Presque Isle Bay.  Visitors can walk out to the Light and watch the boat traffic in the Erie Harbor Channel.

The Erie Pier Head Lighthouse Ornament is an ideal gift for any lighthouse collector. Tom Pollard Designs specializes in designing the finest gold-plated brass light house ornaments.
