BRANSON, MISSOURI
"The Live Entertainment Capital of the World"
Branson is named after Rueben Branson, an area postmaster and
shop keeper in the 1880s. Only comprised of 16.3 square miles,
Branson offers over 100 live family-friendly shows and other
attractions in more than 50 theaters. Located along Highway 76
and nicknamed "The Strip" because of its Las Vegas-like neon
signs, the state-of-the-art theaters are as grand as the
entertainment taking place inside.
In addition to the live entertainment shows, other attractions
include museums, amusement parks, championship golf courses,
festivals, pristine lakes, shopping, beautiful mountains,
dancing fountains, and a spectacular Nativity scene on Mount
Branson overlooking Lake Taneycomo. Coming soon will be an
indoor water park, aquarium and more.
