Pittsburgh, founded in 1758, will celebrate its 250th
anniversary in 2008. The commerce created by the rivers and the
opportunities this new land offered were just a couple of the
reasons early settlers came to Pittsburgh.
In recent history we have seen the city change from "The World's
Steel Producer" to an area more known for its advanced medical
complexes, educational opportunities and hi-tech companies that
are second to none. The city has prospered because of its
ability to adapt to new challenges. Commonly referred to as the
"Golden Triangle", the Burg is considered a friendly place where
residents and tourist appreciate experiencing an ever-changing,
beautiful city.
Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle is a favorite of everyone from
western Pennsylvania.
