First Holy Communion is a very special time in a young Catholic
boy or girl's life -- a time when they first receive the
sacrament of the Eucharist.
The Eucharist was instituted by Christ, at the Last
Supper with his apostles, the night before his death.
Under the appearances of bread and wine, the body and
blood of Christ becomes food for the soul.
The celebration of the Eucharist is a sign of oneness in
faith, life and worship.
It truly is a special time in one's life to celebrate.
